God is Infinite Perfection.

We cannot fathom God. But we may know him personally.

By his very nature, God, is beyond comprehension.

Often, we try to put God into little boxes. But there is no box that can contain the Infinite Divine.

Still, it is possible to know God through our experience of him.

Maybe not in totality, but we can come to experience him. Ever expanding, our inner knowing of God will continue to expand and deepen. For there is no end to God’s depths.

If we take a look at music, or mathematics, or language, or dance, we can come to realize from an intellectual point of view, the idea that God is perfect. But this isn’t the knowledge of God I am directly speaking of. It is proof of God’s divine nature, but true knowledge of God comes only from experiencing God in us.

If we look at space, and we see the stars strewn across the sky, it is another chance to witness God’s perfection. Once again though, while helpful in understanding the nature of God, true knowledge is experiential.

How then, can we come to know God?

We must connect with him in stillness.

Past thought, past feelings, past worries and fears, to an inner stillness. There we can experience the Limitless God.

If we are going to connect with the Divine, we have to get out of our mind. The mind stream keeps us isolated, tiny little things in an ever expansive universe.

But, if we can get a taste of the divine, our lives can be radically altered.

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Understand that to taste is to know.

I can tell you all about an apple, but until you taste it, you don’t really know it. You can have all the knowledge in the world about the apple, but you must taste it to experience it.

The same is true for God. To acknowledge his divine nature is one thing. To experience him, to taste him, is completely another.

Stillness. Even when in activity.

Can we move and act from a place of inner stillness?

There is a place within us, that is untouched from the outside world. Radiant and perfect.

Some call it the soul, others the spirit, but God has placed his perfectionwithin us. Deep within.

The perfection within us, this is Christ.

Regarding Christ, it is written:

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” — Colossians 1:16–17

Christ is the blue print and the divine nature of man. He exists both within us, as our very selves, and outside of us, as Jesus Christ.

The beautiful thing to note is that our nature is good. Christ is both our designer and our design.

Further, God reconciled man to himself through Jesus Christ. Without Jesus, we could never have realized our divine nature. We were cut off from ourselves.

Jesus is the bridge between God and man. Being God in man.

Jesus is perfection.

We need only set free the imprisoned splendor.

Go within.
