Fighting the War Within
There is a battle going on within every human heart and mind.
It is a battle as old as time.
We have thousands of thoughts throughout our day. Some good. Some not so good. But it’s up to us to decide which thoughts get our attention.
The thoughts that get our attention continue to grow, and to blossom.
We have been entrusted to take care of the garden that is our mind. We are to pull out any weeds that might be growing (negative thoughts), and cultivate good crops in our garden (positive thoughts).
We all have both positive and negative thoughts. The key is what kind of thoughts do we gravitate towards.
The battle between good and evil happens between our ears. It is the battle for our minds.
Whatever we feed in our minds, will eventually make its way out into the outside world.
All the good or evil that has ever appeared on earth was once just a thought in someone else’s mind.
Individually, we have to decide what we are going to feed. What we are going to listen to. Be it Good or Evil.
Choose wisely.
Choose good.
Because if you choose evil, evil will come for you.
And if you choose good, goodness will follow you.
The good or the evil you do for others is done unto you.
Choose good.
When you get those negative, or even evil, thoughts, pay them no mind. Let them go right out of your mind. You don’t even have to cast them out. Just disregard them.
Instead, think of something beautiful. Or, sing a positive song in your head.
Change the channel!
Taking care of our mind should be one of our top priorities. Because wherever we go, there goes our minds. We cannot escape our minds. We must live with them day in and day out.
Cultivate a sound mind and a loving heart.
Surround yourself with positive influences.
Positive songs. Positive art. Positive People.
Should you choose good, you will be blessed abundantly, for you have chosen right.
Our lives flow from our heart and mind.
The blessing within becomes the blessing without.
So, take care of your mind. Dwell on positive thoughts.
It says in scripture:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. — Philippians 4:8
AKA: Dwell on positive thoughts.
For we become what we think about most.
We should take some time each day to purposely think about good things.
The truth is God is good and good already won.
Choose good and win!
